Growing up in different parts of the world as a Navy brat definitely had its perks. The mix of rich cultures provided me with a steady supply of images through mass media that have been embedded in my brain throughout the years. I have been a fan of popular culture for most of my life and it shows in my work. My approach to art tends to be very visual and less analytical. Eye candy rules my world. It could be a basket of multicolored Pez dispensers, a shelf lined with mid-century collectible tin toys, vintage roadside signage, old advertisements, Old Hollywood, New Hollywood, classic movies or tv shows. You'll find a mishmash of iconic images that have been swirling about in my head spilling and filling my canvas. Enjoy!
